Our Returns Policy
At Haines Angling we want you, the customer, to be satisfied every time you shop with us. With this in mind we have attempted to make our returns policy simple and easy to use.
Goods for return or exchange must be sent back to the store within 14 days of receipt.
Simply send returns back to us at the address detailed in the contact us section. We recommend using either a Post Office service with tracking facility or a courier with tracking service.
With the returned goods please include the invoice (contained within the parcel you received) , a covering letter and your name and daytime contact number, so that we know who they are from and can call you if there is a query.
Upon receipt of the goods and them being in a satisfactory condion i.e. Our only stipulation is that they are in a saleable condition, in other words;
- The tags have not been removed
- The garment or tackle item has not been used, worn or damaged
- The item is returned in its original packaging undamaged
We will, send replacement goods or issue a full refund for the price of the goods returned.
We will issue the refund (or send out an exchange) within 28 days, and you will see the credit on your card after approximately 3 working days. We will issue the credit straight away it takes this length of time to work its way through the banking system (some building societies can take up to 10 days).
A refund will show on your card under the name Haines Angling Direct
Where Faulty or Damaged goods are received please contact us on 01373 858311 within 2 Days of receipt of the goods to advise us of the nature of the fault.
Guidance & Notes:
- No delivery charge on exchanges if you send the item back to us through the post
- Please ensure that you wrap the package securely
- Refunds do not include your cost of the original postage and packaging or return post if the goods are not damaged or faulty.
- Please note that for your own security we advise that you send goods back using a service that can be tracked.
- We cannot be held responsible for packages lost or damaged in the post when being returned to us and therefore suggest using a tracked delivery service. Please ensure the service you use will cover the cost of the goods you are returning
- Except where the goods you return are faulty or damaged, the cost of returning the goods to us is your responsibility
- This does not affect your statutory rights as a consumer
- Any advice given by staff members regarding size, suitability and fitting of items is their own personal opinion. Haines Angling will measure and provide advise to the best of our knowledge but the final decision is yours.

Returns for items bought on Special Offers
If an item bought under a Special Offer, Promotional Incentive or as part of an Outfit is subsequently returned the Special Offer may no longer apply and the refund will be adjusted accordingly.
We will give you the best deal we can in the circumstances, but we will have to take into account the impact of a return on the original offer.
If the item is exchanged for another that would have been available under the terms of the Special Offer no adjustment will need to be made. If the exchange is for an item of similar value outside the terms of the original offer then any adjustment is at our discretion.

Making A Purchase After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.
We accept payments from all major credit cards. If you are shopping from outside the UK, place your order normally and your credit card company will convert the transaction to your own currency automatically.
When a customer makes a purchase online they must be aware that they are agreeing to a legally binding contract.
When confirmation of an order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not confer that a contract exists between us. A contract of sale exists when payment has been processed. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable.

Back Orders
Any out of stock items will be kept on back order if the total value exceeds £10. If the item is out of stock we will contact you to advise of this and you will be given the option for the order to be held on back order.
Back orders cannot be held for overseas orders.
Tax Charges For orders made from the UK or the European Union, 17.5% VAT is added. Please note that product prices are displayed exclusive of VAT.
All other orders are VAT free and will automatically be charged the correct price for your country.
Credit Card Security The site uses 100% secure encryption techniques for transferring your credit card details during a transaction!
Guarantee
We guarantee your satisfaction. All of our products come with a 30 day guarantee for defects or faults. Accidental damage by the user is not covered under this guarantee. For goods returned with defects or faults then proof of purchase must be enclosed. This only applies to orders placed over internet and through Mail Order Catalogue.
